A significant early milestone has been reached in the delivery of New Bath Hotel, with demolition of the existing Beazer House building on Lower Bristol Road now complete.
The works, undertaken by specialist demolition contractor Wring Group, have cleared the site for the next phase of the proposed 152-bed hotel development in Bath.

A CONSTRAINED CITY SITE
Located between the River Avon and operational railway infrastructure, the site presented a challenging demolition environment. With residential properties and neighbouring commercial operations in close proximity, the works required careful planning, coordination and management of the surrounding interfaces.
The demolition programme also involved the identification and licensed removal of asbestos-containing materials, alongside protective measures to manage the constraints of the site. Wring Group reported that more than 90% of demolition materials were recycled, supporting a resource-conscious approach to this initial phase of development.
MAKING WAY FOR NEW BATH HOTEL
Completion of the demolition marks an important step forward for the project, creating the opportunity to progress the next stages of construction and ultimately deliver a new hotel within this prominent Bath location.
