A new chapter for advanced manufacturing in central London.
100ACRE is pleased to have supported the delivery of Isembard’s new global headquarters and manufacturing facility in Southwark, acting as Employer’s Agent through the final stages of the project.
The new facility brings Isembard’s corporate headquarters together with a working precision factory producing components for the aerospace, defence and robotics sectors. Its opening marks a significant milestone for the business — and an unusual return of advanced manufacturing to central London.
FROM CONSTRUCTION TO OPERATION
Our role as Employer’s Agent centred on supporting the project through its final delivery and the transition from construction into an operational facility.
With manufacturing, office and supporting spaces coming together within a single building, the final stages required close coordination between the project team, landlord and Isembard’s operational requirements.
This included managing the route through completion and handover, together with the arrangements necessary to enable Isembard to begin occupying and operating from completed areas of the building as the wider works approached completion.

Southwark has a long industrial history, making the arrival of a new generation of advanced manufacturing particularly fitting.
Isembard selected the location to combine access to London’s technology and engineering talent with direct proximity between its software teams and live manufacturing operations.
